Polymer coated metal casing decorated with an acrylic front panel. Heat and noise insulation is ensured by a layer of 10 mm cellular synthetic rubber. The front panel provides convenient access for filter maintenance and has a lock for extra security. The unit has two Ø3 15/16" pipes for fresh air intake and stale air extraction outside. The third Ø3 15/16" pipe (included in the scope of delivery) can be additionally fitted to the unit to connect the exhaust air duct from the bathroom.
The units feature efficient electronically commutated (EC) motors with an external rotor and impellers with forward curved blades. These state-of-the-art motors are the most advanced solution in energy efficiency today. EC motors are characterised with high performance and optimum control across the entire speed range. In addition to that the efficiency of electronically commutated motors reaches very impressive levels of up to 90 %.
The unit is equipped with supply and exhaust air dampers which activate automatically to prevent drafts while the unit is off.
Supply air cleaning is provided by the MERV8 and MERV14 panel filters (PM2.5 > 75 %). To meet more stringent air purity requirements the MERV14 filter can be replaced with an HEPA Filter type C (PM2.5 > 95 %) (purchased separately). Exhaust air is cleaned by the panel filter MERV8.
Blauberg Freshbox 100: Decentralized heat recovery ventilators (single room heat recovery ventilators)
Energy efficient ventilation, and fresh air in the office or classroom are just as important as in your apartment or house.
Freshbox 100 are designed for the ventilation of social or commercial premises, and the installations are applicable in private houses and apartments. The operation of several such installations will provide an air exchange system in your home (fresh air systems for homes) or an office.
These energy saving fans (recovery ventilators) are equipped with EC engines (EC motor), whose operation demonstrates high efficiency and low power consumption.
Installations also contribute to energy savings through the use of recovery technology. In the cold season, some of the heat (up to 96%) of the exhaust air is transferred to the supply air; in the warm time, the exhaust air cools the warm air from the street.
Freshbox 100 - HRV units are equipped with plate heat exchangers made of polystyrene, and the modification of Freshbox 100 ERV - ERV units are equipped with enthalpy heat exchangers.
Fans with energy recovery (energy recovery ventilator) Freshbox 100 ERV’s transfer not only heat but also moisture. In the summer, the recuperator cools and drains the supply air, in the winter it warms and moisturizes.
The installation of these decentralized installations (single room ventilators) does not require the installation of a duct system, since they are installed directly into the outer wall of the room, which makes it possible to use these small energy-saving ventilation units in ready-made rooms.
To protect the premises from dust and other harmful substances, Freshbox 100 are equipped with MERV8 and MERV14 filters. If necessary, MERV14 filters can be replaced with HEPA, for even more effective air cleaning.
To prevent such negative external factors as draft or water ingress, an automatic air damper is provided in the fans.
